WhyWhisper is a capacity-building consultancy dedicated to increasing access to opportunities and improving quality of life. For over a decade, mission-aligned nonprofits, educational institutions, foundations, and changemakers have brought us on as their strategy and operations partner when they’re needing support in: launching a new program, improving an existing one, or addressing a challenge or crisis. Together, we’ve advanced equity-focused initiatives in education, employment, health, and wellness, creating lasting change in communities around the world.

And as we’ve worked alongside these remarkable teams, we’ve also uncovered a significant truth: the relentless focus on external impact often comes at the expense of internal wellbeing. Too often, ingrained norms, exposure to traumas, productivity culture, and systemic pressures lead to burnout, high turnover, and diminished outcomes, undermining the very impact these organizations set out to make.

Today, while we’re as committed as ever to designing thoughtful, stakeholder-driven programs for meaningful social impact, a significant portion of our work explicitly focuses on the wellbeing of social impact teams. Whether it’s developing strategic plans, designing new programs, or building healthier cultures and norms, we help organizations achieve their vision while ensuring their teams have the support they need to thrive.
